The Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has announced an 11% increase in Turkish companies joining its business district, further strengthening ties between Dubai and Tรผrkiye. The growth, which brings the total number of Turkish firms in DMCC to over 640, was revealed during the recent Made For Trade Live roadshow in Istanbul, where DMCC introduced Turkish business leaders to Dubai’s lucrative opportunities.
The rise in Turkish companies joining DMCC reflects the increasing trade between the UAE and Tรผrkiye, fueled by the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) signed in March 2023. Bilateral trade surged by 107% last year, exceeding USD 20 billion, positioning Tรผrkiye as the fastest-growing partner among the UAEโs top 10 trading nations.
At the Istanbul event, DMCC showcased its world-class infrastructure and services to over 150 Turkish business leaders, highlighting sectors such as precious metals, energy, and Web3 technologies. These industries were identified as key growth areas under the UAE-Tรผrkiye trade agreement, offering significant opportunities for Turkish firms seeking to expand globally through Dubai.
Industry experts view DMCC’s role as pivotal in facilitating Turkish business expansion into global markets. His Excellency Dr. Hamad Buamim, Chairman of DMCC, emphasized, โThe UAE-Tรผrkiye trade relationship has entered a new era of growth, as seen by the 11% increase in Turkish companies joining DMCC. Our presence in Istanbul underscores our commitment to this partnership and its untapped commercial potential.โ
With nearly 25,000 businesses from around the world, DMCC continues to be a leading global hub for trade. The Istanbul roadshow served as a key platform to showcase Dubaiโs business-friendly environment, simplifying the process for Turkish companies looking to establish and grow their presence in the UAE.
Turkish businesses looking to expand into global markets should consider DMCC as an ideal platform to leverage Dubaiโs strategic location, world-class infrastructure, and robust trade networks. The ease of setting up and operating in DMCC, coupled with the growing UAE-Tรผrkiye trade corridor, presents a unique opportunity for growth.
